Cost: The cost of the 14-week program is $325, which includes the 1,000-page training manual and the Michigan State University Extension Volunteer Selection Process, background check.

Enrollment. To enroll in the Master Gardening training, please complete the registration, including payment. Prior to engaging in volunteer activities, trainees will be interviewed by current Master Gardeners and/or staff and must sign a Master Gardener “Code of Conduct” form. Depending on local requirements, trainees may also need to undergo a criminal background check before they volunteer.
